Internet says..... Get ready for a growth
spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches
to his length. Right now, he’s about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long
(head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is
more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his
head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his
scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started
growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his
heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will
continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
All in all according to the doctor.......
The baby is good, with a heartrate of 152. Me, overwhelmed with nausea (AGAIN) therefore causing my weight to be -8 pounds from the start of doctor's visits. Nope, the doc didn't like that but it is what it is. I have to say it is hard to gain weight when you can't keep much in. I really appreciated my three week reprieve from the nausea, but it has come back with a vengeance. Lucky Me! The doc told me to take ginger and see if that helps, so only time will tell. For now, I am dodging people in the halls...running to nearby facilities....toting a cup or bag at all times....and just trying to deal with it. Though, it is much harder to deal with since I had a couple of OK weeks. Tears abated for now....I will just keep prodding forward. It is all worth it in the end, right?!
