Fresh Start

Have you ever had one of those days or weekends? You know the one. The one where there is no whining by your child, instead he is happily doing what he is supposed to be doing. One where you're all singing songs and everyone is cheerful and things are in order. And then, BAM, you accidentally hit a snag. Then life is all TAKE THAT, PRIDE. Welcome back to reality.

Kind of like a couple of days ago when Chris started in on the I can't breathe...and that seemingly finds it's way into the rest of the family...and wakes us at 3am with a mess. Meaning that on top of feeling sluggish and stuffy, we are tired. Pile on the irritability.

Our usually smiley, happy boy becomes lackadaisical.

It was my fault that his head was spinning around every three or four minutes. As moms, it's always our fault. Right?

But the amazing thing about having a child is that life is like one big playground and everyday is like one giant do-over.

Because they wake up and gaze at you with those big, brown eyes and you know that this day is a fresh new start.

Like fresh new snow, beautiful.
Then someone steps on it....
Then the next snow covers the tracks.
